Clinical Psychologist Aslıhan Şenay completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Yeditepe University with honors on a full scholarship. She received her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Okan University with a thesis entitled "The Mediating Role of Sibling Relationships Between Attachment Styles and Life Satisfaction in Young Adults." She has completed the theoretical and practical parts of the Basic Existential Analysis Training from the Existential Academy and is currently working on her final project. She continues to develop her clinical practice with psychoanalytically oriented supervision.

 

She works with psychoanalytic/psychodynamic and existentialist schools of thought, focusing on individual psychotherapy with adults. She conducts in-person sessions at her clinic in Caddebostan, and also provides online therapy support.

 

She has worked as a psychotherapist in various clinics since 2022. She also provides external support as a volunteer therapist to the Boğaziçi University Student Guidance and Counseling Center.

 

During her undergraduate studies, she worked as an intern psychologist at Moodist Psychiatry and Neurology Hospital. While in university, she served as vice president of the Yeditepe University Social Support and Solidarity Club for one year and coordinated numerous projects. She was the creator and coordinator of the Child Labor project. During this time, she had the opportunity to work with individuals with autism, children under state protection, individuals with Down syndrome, and individuals with disabilities. As part of the "Return to Society Project," she taught Turkish Language and Literature and History to children at the Maltepe Juvenile and Youth Correctional Facility. She completed the Women's Human Rights Education Program organized by the Women's Human Rights New Solutions Association (KİH-YÇ).

She conducted research with her team on "The Relationship Between Susceptibility to Manipulation and Experiencing Dating Violence Among University Students." The research was presented as a poster at the 2nd International Understanding Violence Congress and subsequently published in English as "The Relationship Between Manipulation and Dating Violence" in the Journal of Scientific Perspectives, an international peer-reviewed journal.
