What is Panic Attack? What are the symptoms?

Panic attacks are intense fear attacks that begin suddenly and recur at indefinite intervals. People with panic attacks feel extremely nervous and restless, even if there is no situation that could cause them to feel danger or fear. A panic attack is a sudden and regular feeling of panic or fear. The person appears extremely anxious and distressed during the seizure. As soon as a panic attack is experienced, the person directly asks to be taken to the doctor from his relatives, the person who has had the attack has experienced uneasiness about his health. While having a panic attack, the person focuses too much on his physical functions, hears the heart rhythm, feels tremors and changes in bodily movements, and has difficulty in breathing.

WHAT ARE PANIC ATTACK SYMPTOMS?

There is a distinct period of intense fear or discomfort, with at least four of the symptoms beginning at the same time and reaching a high level within ten minutes.

1-Palpitations, increased hearing of the heartbeat

2-Sweating

3-Shaking or shaking

4-Shortness of breath or feeling like suffocating

5-Suffocation

6-Chest pain or feeling of tightness in the chest

7-Nausea or abdominal pain

8-Dizziness, lightheadedness, feeling like you're going to fall or pass out

9-Self distancing

10-Fear of losing control or going crazy

11-Fear of death

12-Chills, chills or hot flashes

WHAT TO DO IN THE TIME OF PANIC ATTACK?

The person who has a panic attack should first know that the attack will pass and focus on it, the panic attack should not be fought at the time of the attack and should stay in the same place if possible. Since the person is very anxious and worried during the panic attack, the person should relax himself and not listen to his body, and think about the things that can relax him and realize that the moment will end. Instead of worrying with the way of thinking, the person's comforting sentences will reduce the duration of the panic attack moment and the level of uneasiness.

WHY DOES PANIC ATTACK OCCUR?

Panic disorder is a psychological disorder that can be overcome. The first thing to consider in people experiencing panic attacks is the symptoms that the person feels during the attack. During a panic attack, reducing the symptoms that the person experiences intensely, should focus on the specific emotions of those moments, and by revealing many distinctive issues, the person is helped to reveal and resolve these and similar situations with psychotherapy method.
